Semi-Retirement (1991-present):
     It all started when I partnered with my brother in a stucco subcontracting business. He was the experienced tradesman, and I handled the administrative/sales duties. We did a lot of work for several General Contractors who required that we submit our billings on the AIA forms. So I designed a Lotus worksheet to help prepare the data. It worked OK, more or less, but I would forget what to do a month later, I was still using a typewriter, making mistakes, etc.. Then the construction business in the area slowed down, so my brother started working again for others and I decided that an automated program that anyone could use, would be a good product. One of my first customers was one of the GC's that first required us to use AIA. I soon realized that Lotus was not the way to go, and I began to learn about programing. By 1996, I had a product that was ready for launching on the Internet. Now I spend my time between ACP-ProBill, woodworking projects, and as the webmaster for the 4 family branches that my Grandfather started.
